General Features

RenderSoft VRML Editor reads and writes VRML 1.0 files. It can also export VRML 2.0 and Jpeg files.

OpenGL Based
RenderSoft VRML Editor uses the industry-standard 3D API OpenGL to render its scene.

8-bit, 16-bit or 24bit color mode supported

No External Browser needed
There is no need to use an external internet browser with a VRML plug-in to preview your virtual world.

Real time updating of material, textures and object geometrical properties.
Everything you edited is updated instantly. Watch your 3D objects change from red to green as you move the sliders in material window, or your objects textured immediately after an image file is selected.

Small output file
RenderSoft VRML Editor does not generate primitives like cone, cylinder as vertex information. This reduces the output file size and allows faster loading on the internet.

Keyframe Animation
animated VRML banners easily. RenderSoft allows you to specify only the keyframes and it will draw all the rest for you.

Gzip output
Compress your VRML 2.0 output file into gzip format. This format is supported by most VRML browsers and it greatly reduces your file size by at least 2 to 3 times.

AVI Movie

Create animated logos and save your VRML animation into an AVI movie file.

Installed Fonts
Starting from version 1.72, RenderSoft VRML Editor allows you to use all fonts installed in your system rather than limited to SERIF, SANS, TYPEWRITER, DECORATIVE and SCRIPT. The installed fonts are non-vrml. You cannot save them to VRML 1.0 files or export them as VRML 2.0 files. If you attempt to save them to VRML files, the fonts will be saved as SERIF, SANS or TYPEWRITER

This feature is used when you are exporting the scene to a JPEG image or AVI movie. To use it simply insert an ascii text node by choosing Edit : Insert AsciiText. When the dialog appears, type in your text and click on the 'Installed Fonts' button.

RenderSoft VRML Editor allows up to 18 installed fonts in a scene
